The Devil Is A Liar

God says wait upon me, but the devil tells you that you can’t afford to wait. He tells you that if you move without God, you won’t have to wait for what you want. If you’re in that place where hell is breaking loose, you might even believe him. The devil is a liar, who operates in the natural (the natural is what we see in front of us, it’s the place where we’re consumed by what we feel). God is supernatural; He operates in the spiritual realm and can stand at the edge of the world and see all of time. He cannot lie, so when He tells you He’s coming to save you, believe Him with all of your heart.

How do you develop these spiritual eyes? You read the word of God; you trust it and you step out on faith. I’ve seen God work it out for me too many times to doubt Him. I may not always understand His ways, but I know that no matter what comes my way, Jesus loves me. The devil can attack, he can whisper his lies, but I’ve seen the vision and I’ve claimed the promise. I had no roof, no food and no money two years ago when I was living in New Orleans ; God got me out of there three months before Katrina.

He was there when I was a baby and my grandmother tried to smother me. My testimony is longer than my years and growing every day. The point is, the devil tried to take me out over and over again; I’m in the midst of his latest attack right now. Jesus is the reason I’m still breathing, He’s the reason that I can carry endless joy in my heart. Here’s the natural view of my life: I just lost my job and I have no way to pay my rent. Here’s the true picture of my circumstance: The Lord will provide and I have all that I need as long as I have Him. The Lord will never leave you down and out.

Wait on the Lord, stand in faith and watch Him move on your behalf. By the way, if in the midst of your trial the devil should try to mess with your head … Recite the title of this article and laugh.
