We Need God in America Again

The United States was founded on faith in God and where God is, peace rules. Today we are systematically removing God from our society and it shows.

The founding fathers of the United States of America were almost entirely born again Christians. If that statement sounds a little off to you, there is a stack of documented evidence proving it that stands about three miles high. George Washington himself was born again, and he was one of the Godliest men this world has ever seen. Some idiots have created rumors that he was a womanizer, and an adulterer, but that was just plain not true. The man would criticize his own soldiers if they so much as swore in his presence. Does that sound like an immoral person to you?

If those same soldiers took God’s name in vain, he went ballistic, treating that offense as if it were a hideous war crime. George Washington would kneel beside a chair in his office, with his well-worn Bible open on a chair before him and pray. In fact, he wrote down many of his prayers in a journal, which still exists today. George even prayed hoping that his prayers were not too shallow, or too selfish. We should be so faithful today. George Washington was known to the “Native Americans” of his day, as the One Who Could Not Die, because no matter how hard they tried, they could not kill him in battle. He was a tall man on a white horse who could not be killed by tomahawk, arrow, or bullet. Washington lived to a ripe old age.

The rest of the founding fathers carried similar Christian credentials. After all, that’s why they came here from Europe in the first place, to get away from the tyranny of state-sanctioned religion, so they could worship God in the way they had chosen. That was, by the way, the ONLY reason the Pilgrims came to American soil. They risked life and limb to get to a land they had never seen, with unknown dangers awaiting them on the other side, fully aware that they could never go back to their homelands again, and they did all that for Jesus. He was worth it to them, and so they came, some died, many starved for months but survived by sheer grit, others grew gravely ill from plague. Entire villages died from disease that none of them could understand or treat. But they were free to worship as they chose, and for that, they were willing to accept all else.

Freedom is what this country was founded on, freedom to worship, freedom to no longer be harassed by a government that hated God and all that He stood for. America made some grave errors along the way, but there is no way to forget that her foundation was Christ Himself. Yes, the “Indians” were removed by force from their homelands, yes, there was slavery which amounted to horrible mis-treatment and murder of innocent men, women and children, but we are mistaken if we interpret those horrors as things that were done in the “name of God”. God didn’t condone injuring, killing, or abusing people just to get their lands or to feel superior to them. Here is where the opinions of the few were allowed to control the populous as a whole.

Mistakes aside, America did get its start as a Christian nation, which is why the Christian people are actually the majority of the population today. The minority are the non-Christians who would like to get the upper hand and turn this country away from its Godly heritage. They are already doing so one little piece at a time. About thirty years ago, we could still pray and read Bibles in our schools, but then a few Atheists got the brilliant idea to tell a lie and managed to get away with it, and now our school children can no longer practice their right to freedom of religion. The lie I’m referring to is the “Separation of Church and State”. Such a thing is completely unconstitutional in the United States and the Atheists know it.

Before, when God was still allowed in the schools, teachers faced such unholy crimes as, throwing spit wads, and tripping someone in the schoolyard. Now that God has been evicted, we have punks running around with high-powered rifles shooting kids and teachers just because they feel like it. Kids have to be searched by electronic metal detectors before going to their classes. Yup, when you take God out of the classroom, the devil feels free to move right on in. The devil cannot reside in the same place where God is, so by keeping God around, we are actually protecting ourselves from evil. If your child is afraid to go to school, please thank the next Atheist you meet.

Murders on dark street corners, rapes, incest, horrors piled up on horrors, all these things are born out of removing God from society. If there could possibly be another explanation I would go into it here, but there is none. When you remove God you remove all that is wholesome and good, and that leaves darkness, evil and decay to move in to fill that spot. It is quite obvious that the problem with the United States today, and basically with the world at large, is that we need to go back to our foundations again, back to our very roots and bring God back into our lives again. While it is true that even just one individual can make a difference, (the Atheists have proven that) it is difficult to do so while your hands are tied and your lips are gagged, which is basically what has happened to the Christians in this day and age.

Bringing God back to America again would do no harm and it would in fact, remove the rust of evil that has spread over this great land and her people. Without God we are nothing, and with Him, nothing can harm us. That is the philosophy of the ages, and a successful nation is never without it. God is not now, nor has He ever been, unconstitutional, but we have allowed the few to lead the many and that is unforgivable.

Friend you have fallen and can not get up. Atheists are just people hiding from the facts; look around you do you really see a big bang?

I said Hitler *PROFESSED* Christianity. He had a close working relationship with the Catholic church. His actions state something other than Christ’s teachings, however.

Perhaps you would care to enlighten me on what ‘facts’ I have incorrect?

Apparently it has been a while since I looked into the comments on this article. You folks are holding your little fist fight without me. Wait-a-second, you are wrong about every single word you wrote and you know that and so does the rest of the world. You hate God so you automatically hate everyone who loves Him. Washington was not “at best a deist”, and if you don’t believe that, read his prayer book. He wrote down every prayer that came to his head and there were a considerable number of them. He was afraid that he was not praying well enough. He was a Christian, true blue, and you are a complete idiot to think otherwise. Thank you, think-before-you-talk, for your kind consideration.
