Where is God?

My view on religion.

I was born a Catholic. I will die a Catholic. I will never go to church though. For some reason we are hell bent on classifying ourselves to death. I need not go into detail how religion is playing a major role in our self- destruction. In college I studied religion but only as a minor. I learned mostly about eastern studies. I have become more of a spiritual person and not a religious one. I feel that there is no need to subscribe to one school of thought over another. Why can’t we just accept that other people will have other beliefs? We say “how could God let this happen?” when a tragedy takes place. But let me ask you, ” what about the daily tragedies that take place in the same world in which we live? The rapes, murders, suicides, neglected children, the recently diagnosed with terminal diseases, the citizens who cannot pay their medical bills- are they not worthy of God’s intervention? Let us start taking responsibility for our actions and stop crying for God to save us when something we do not like occurs.
