Published by There has been a lot of speculation about who the antichrist is. People have accused many people, including Saddam Hussein, George W. Bush, Barack Obama, Pope Benedict XVI, and just about everyone who has ever been in the public eye. But what if they were all right?
But it’s not just world leaders who are the antichrist. I am the antichrist. And so are you. Perhaps the antichrist is simply a metaphor for humanity as a whole. The antichrist is simply a symbolic representation of the dark side of humanity, the side of our species concerned with greed and violence.
Just the same, Christ, rather than being one person, represents the good in humanity. There is supposed to be a final battle between Christ and the antichrist at the end of days. Perhaps this simply represents a battle in ourselves between right and wrong, good and evil. Rather than an actual battle between two entities, it is simply a time when our species as a whole realizes the way we are living is wrong, and we will begin to change the way we live. The good will overcome the evil. Our “Christ”-like nature will overcome our “antichrist” nature and we will reach a greater enlightenment.
But before we can reach this enlightenment, we must first let our entire planet go to hell completely. We have to see the full effects of our complete disregard for the Earth as pollution and over-consumption of resources make the planet almost unsuitable for life. We have to see the devastation that our wars bring to humanity. Only after we actually realize what we are really doing to the planet can we work to change the way we look at things.
There will be many, many more lives lost before we can reach this enlightenment. But that is not necessarily a bad thing. The Earth cannot sustain our current population. Only by reducing the total number of people living on the planet at any one time can the Earth and the human species begin to thrive once again.
There is supposed to be a millennium reign of Christ following this great battle over evil. This is simply symbolic of a more enlightened time in humanity’s history, where there is peace and we revert back to a way of life that is more in tune with nature. It will not be the end of the world, only the end of the world as we know it. There will most likely still be technology, but we will be much less dependent on it as we become more aware of our connectedness to the universe and will have less need for the artificial connection that the internet and technology provides. Some people may not be able to handle it and may end up killing themselves. But, humanity as a whole will experience a spiritual rebirth as we learn to overcome the antichrist within ourselves.
I did not do research to back my theory up with biblical texts or end of days prophecies, as I did not want to be influenced by other theories for this article. I may write a more in-depth analysis of other theories, texts, and prophecies to support my theory at a later time.

I am glad to know that GOD THAT MADE THE HEAVENS AND HUMANS AND EVERYTHING ELSE WOULD BE MORE KNOWLEGABLE THAN YOU. So what you’re saying is that the bible is true because the bible says that the bible is true. Got it. How could I have ever been so blind. From now on, I’m not going to risk sending myself to hell by actually thinking about things for myself, since independent thought is a sin.
