A person with the name of Zoroastor started a religion named after him. The religion is named Zoroastrianism and is similar to another religion called Mazdaism. In Mazdaism the followers worship Ahur Mazda He was considered the divine authority for Zoroaster.

Zoroastrianism, along with Hinduism, is one of the oldest religions on Earth.

In this religion, the Creator is named Ahur Mazda. He is all good in Him and no bad things.. In Mazdaism, the evil tries to destroy the Creation of Mazda and the good is trying to keep it intact.

Ahur Mazda has never been seen before.  He has a representative called Amesha Spentas, who is a yazatas. Yazatas is what shows the work of God to humanity and they direct worship to Mazda.

The religion was the national religion of Iran for centuries until the 7th century and Islam took over.

In ancient times Zoroastrianism was given great respect and dignity. It was so respected that other religions borrowed some of the beliefs.

The oldest surving document mentioning Zoroastrianism is given to Thomas Brown in Religio Medici.

I hope this explains a religion to you that you may not have heard about before.
