No matter if it is the world around us, our own life, or a combination of both, there are times when we feel everything is so dark that there is little or nothing to thank God for. The burden of the gloom we sense outweighs it all, and we are tempted to think that God does not care, or is not even there. To counter those thoughts, we need to pause and consider some things about God Himself which will bring us comfort and strength if we let them.
