Can you imagine being away from home and receiving a letter from your parents and not bothering to open it or read it? This is what happens when we don’t read the scriptures. The Scriptures are like letters from home telling us how we can draw near to our Father in Heaven.

If you were sailing in a small boat on a rough sea, knowing that a huge wave could tip you over at any time, would you consider taking off your life jacket?

Although it is a cornerstone of faith for many Mormons, the Book of Mormon does not live up to its historical claims.
