Presently, the Church is facing contentious issues that are seriously threatening the unity and peace. Where the Holy Spirit leads, all these will not arise. Do you have the Holy Spirit in you?

What are the evil that easily ensnare you?Put them off. Paul noted that you are the one to do it. No one can help you do it. It is better you do it now.

If only many of us will understand what it cost us to attain salvation; if only we could understand the sacrifices we have made so as to stand for Jesus Christ till date, we will not allow things inconsequential to rob us our salvation.

This is the Meditation for Sunday 26th August, 2012 for Cathedral Church of St. Peter, Asaba. It is on Paul’s determination to race on forgetting his past accomplishments to attain his heavenly reward.

God does not change and He cannot start with your case. He is not man that loses his memory. God is telling us to remember all He did for us in the past. He has not forgotten that He will help us.

We are in a world that has lost its conscience. Stories we hear and read these days show a generation that has no conscience. Beloved your life is going on record. A day of reckoning is coming when all will be made open before God and you. What will be your stand?

Hearing those choral voices sing classical anthems like Jerusalem and Handel’s Messiah, I almost thought I was listening to the Choir of West minister Abbey or the Choir of St. Paul’s Cathedral London. Initially, I thought they were miming to the original recording but it wasn’t so. The singing was live and original, even though they sounded like white men and women singing in their operatic voices. Dressed in the robe of green and white they sounded like angels singing in praise of God.
