Children are easily influenced by their surroundings, so by saying that, it is almost impossible raising kids in a perfect Islamic atmosphere now that they are exposed to TV media, the Internet, radio, friends, and even family members. The responsibilities of being a father are varied and of utmost importance. Often times I think we are lax in how we look at just what our duties are.

We live in a world where there are so many books to read on perfect parenting. Everyone wants to be a perfect mom and dad. There are so many different people telling us different things we are supposed to do with our children and it gets so confusing for us. Why is it that it is so hard to figure out what a perfect parent is supposed to be? Could it be because there is no such thing? Well, there is such a thing, and not only do I know where to find the perfect parent but also the examples we should follow.

In recent decades society has warped the image of the ideal father. However, there are numerous men in history that we can definitely learn from as to how a father should be.
