In my first year of surrendering to Christ I came across an independent pastor. Thoughts crossed my mind, one of which was, “Why is this man independent?” Little did I know at that moment that just over thirty years later that I would become an independent minister.

What is baptism? What is the correct method of baptism? Is there one “right way to be baptized?” Do you have to be baptized to be “Saved”?

Everyone had an opinion, that said, then we have that many interpretations on what the Bible really says. That results in many different denominations, cults, sects or whatever. You know none are right, nor necessarily wrong. Here is the answer “God said it, that settles it.” People use to say God said it, I believe it, that settles it. It does not change what God said whether we agree or not.

Looking at religion I decided to ask the question of what a Christian is not just from my point of view but from others as well and here is what I have learned along with my personal feelings on the subject.
