As shown by Carlin (1996), Catholic institutions risk becoming secularized like many older protestant institutions by acknowledging that “Yale and Harvard were Congregationalist, Princeton was Presbyterian, Brown was Baptist, and Northwestern, Southern California and Boston University were Methodist” (p. 15).
