When I look at the saying “ as wise Solomon” then compare this to his luxurious living during his reign I begin to wonder whether he was as wise as people credited him to be. In delving therefore, into the history of Israel, I have this observation to make As regards his contribution as king of Israelite. In a dream at Gibeon, Solomon was invited by God to ask of Him a favor. Solomon ‘s request was,” Give thy servant therefore an understanding mind to govern thy people, that I may discern between good and evil for who is able to govern this thy great people?” in the end, God gave Solomon not only an understanding mind, but also riches and honor.
