Most times in life, if we just do the little things to and for others it not only helps them, but helps us and makes us a better person. I wish for that in me!!

What Jesus is saying in this our text is that our motive for charity must be pure. He emphasised that we should do work of charity purely to glorify God and not self. We should make our charitable deeds to conform to the teaching of Jesus. It is not meant for recognition or to receive applause from people.

The laws of tithing where one creates abundance for the self by giving out generously. This reciprocates by a notion,where nature gives back to you tenfold your investments given in kind, cash or any other form of positive contribution made to the universe. The time sequence may not be instant but dues do come back in a matter of time. Try it out sometime, see the effects unfold when tithing is engaged in, accompanied by the right emotions and frame of mind.

God blesses us when we give freely out of our possessions, time and energy (2 Corinthians 9:7). Then we are refreshed because one good turn deserves another.
