The seven deadly sins are pride, greed, lechery, envy, gluttony, anger, and sloth. Actually all sins are deadly and all are forgiven in the blood of Christ, but the concept of seven deadly sins has played an interesting role in Western culture.
The early Christian church created a list of the seven Deadly Sins, based on the behaviors to avoid discussed throughout the Bible. The seven Deadly Sins are matched by a list of seven Virtues, which are the behaviors to be used to help avoid the Deadly Sins.
These are the seven deadly sins in order of severity with the most severe first ending with the least severe.
