In the distant past, there were formulated understandings (beliefs) of the Church. Such is the case of the Reformists who hold the idea that the Church through the operation (work) of the Holy Spirit, gathers to unite individuals with Himself and then endowed in them that true faith; thus, constitutes the Church as His body. In Latin, the gathered people are called “communio fidelium” or “communio sanctorum” which in English is translated “the community of believers while others would want to translate it as community of faith-takers. In Roman Catholic, however, the Church takes precedence over everything else.
