At the beginning of Revelations, there are letters to seven churches. While there was suffering from the Jewish people, Rome’s hand in the church sufferings was just as harsh, especially Nero.

In Revelations 1:12-20, John has a vision of Jesus. Almost every element of John’s vision of Jesus exists for symbolic value as well as being used in the letters to the churches which follow this vision.

The primary theme of the book of Revelations is the ‘revelations of Jesus Christ’ has seen in Revelations 1:1. Yet John is revealing more than just the one statement about Jesus, but linking him back to several prophecies as well.

John was one of the twelve disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ. He became known as the "beloved disciple" because Jesus loved him more than all of his other disciples. Though John has his shot comings as human but with help of our Lord Jesus Christ he overcame them.
