The infinity of God can be defined thus: he is boundless and limitless, immeasurable or immense, unfathomable and incomprehensible.
Omnipotence is necessary to God, it is His nature. God’s omnipotence can be readily inferred from His infinity.
According to the 16th century theologian and reformer John Calvin, “omniscience is that attribute whereby God knows Himself and all other things in one Eternal and most simple act”.
No matter if it is the world around us, our own life, or a combination of both, there are times when we feel everything is so dark that there is little or nothing to thank God for. The burden of the gloom we sense outweighs it all, and we are tempted to think that God does not care, or is not even there. To counter those thoughts, we need to pause and consider some things about God Himself which will bring us comfort and strength if we let them.
To understand the greatness of God’s knowledge, we find ourselves overwhelmed. But this nothing to apologize for, because wonder and worship are the proper responses to the glorious attributes of God.
