This is the first draft of the first chapter of what could become a historical mystery novel about the writer Joris-Karl Huysmans and his descent into 19th century Satanism, together with the demonic chaplain of the Holy Blood in Bruges Louis Van Haecke, and abbé Saunière of Rennes-le-Château…

The Master and the Rock

As the Rabbi, the RESURRECTED CHRIST had every right to cross-examine His chosen ones particularly those who faltered and toyed with the divine script that He fulfilled. The Creator-creature relationship still holds. It is the basic relationship between God and man. The test questions of love and the commands of servitude were answerable only with yes or no. Besides, it was not a human authority who was interrogating. It was a Resurrected Divinity. He must be answered truthfully and not silently. God is Always There!

There is another side of God that many are yet to see and understand. It’s about the times God seems silent and uncaring toward the many challenges Christians face. This write-up is not a complete treatise on the question, neither a theological debate on whether God is always the “Good God” He’s been called, or something worst beyond man’s imagination. It’s an exploration on God’s love, his dealings and His seemingly silent and uncaring attitudes. You will find a lot of answers you need.
