We have been seeking proof of Gods’ existence for centuries and yet it is all around us. Even when God makes the news, He still doesn’t make the news. What is it that we expect, or want? Thunderbolts and fireclouds? We better beware of what we see as proof or we may just get it.

“Pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall” Proverbs 16:18.

We often hear from time to time the falling of a high profile pastor of a megachurch or well known politician and remember the verse in Proverbs, “Pride comes before destruction”. However, what does pride look like when its at work in more subtle ways at smaller, more local churches? Here is how to spot it within your own ministry, and how to fight it…

Love is the extreme form of selfishness. Love is always based on self-interest and can never in no case be considered as altruism. However we can yet prove love as noble and it’s the supreme form of altruism out of our subconscious form of arrogance and pride.

Faith that is lacking should strive to complement and complement itself for obvious reasons. No matter how the intentions may be, the fruits of pride do not bear the fruit for the soul.

It is not until faith completely grips you that you are capable of a different understanding, even when your pain is insurmountable. Here is my story…
