“Religion is the manifestation of the divinity which is already present in the human being” said swami Vivekananda. Each soul is potentially divine. To manifest that very divinity within, Man should control his nature externally and internally. Do this either by work, or worship, or psychic control, or philosophy by one or more or all of these and be free. This is the whole of religion. Doctrines or Dogmas or rituals or books, or temples, or forms, all are but secondary details.

Today in the world the term “new religion” refers to any form of spiritualism that is not a mainline religion, or an established or pure sect. Some new religions use the word “church” as part of their organization’s title, such as The Church of Scientology. Usually, as in the case of Scientology, there is nothing similar between the traditional term of church and the cult.
