A new bombshell has surfaced regarding the Ted Haggard scandal: the leaders for the Religious Right have known for quite some time Haggard was gay, but they didn’t remove him from his position as president of the National Evangelical Association. Should we be placing our trust and following leaders who do not adhere to Biblical standards?

Dr. James Dobson has made quite a mistake by turning his back on Ted Haggard and removing himself from the counseling team. Jesus said, “No one has greater love than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” Has Dr. Dobson chosen mammon over friendship?

Although the Christian religion has too many TV evangelistic wolves in sheeps’ clothing and the church desperately requires a flea dip instead of lamb chops on table, it is never truly good news when a wolf is exposed.
