Can you be gay and a Christian? The answer is found in the question: Can you be gay and a sheep?
The parable of the lost sheep is a lot more relevant today than when He delivered the parable in the form of a question to the Scribes and the Pharisees because at that time the Scriptures has not yet been fulfilled. Today, it has already been fulfilled. The tragic reality is such that huge flocks of sheep get lost from birth and not found the way the Shepherd desires it because the lost sheep listened not to the words of the Shepherd contained in the Sacred Scriptures that He fulfilled but to the words of the present-day Scribes and Pharisees of their religion, the ‘wolves in sheepskin’ or the ‘beasts like lamb’ that ignore without cause the order of betrayal that the lost sheep-turned-Friend of GOD lovingly obeyed even when Satan was allowed entry into his heart.
Although the Christian religion has too many TV evangelistic wolves in sheeps’ clothing and the church desperately requires a flea dip instead of lamb chops on table, it is never truly good news when a wolf is exposed. It never is about one man, it becomes a scathing indictment against an entire religion; Satan gloats and giggles with delight. Christians routinely hide behind a mask of perfection, and that’s much more than just the sin of pride.
