The Truth: The Book of Galatians

Do not think that you are unable to be lead astray by teachers pedaling a corrupt doctrine at your local church assembly, because it can happen very easily if you have never read and studied the Word of GOD (The Holy Bible) for yourself starting in The Book of Genesis straight through to The Book of Revelation. In modern times, the members of the church do not have excuse not to read and get to know GOD through the Word of GOD, because we have been given the written record of the spoken Word of GOD to read, study, mediated and pray upon trusting in GOD to help us understand and know GOD through his only begotten Son Jesus Christ personally.

2 Timothy 4:2-4

4 “I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.

3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.”

In The Book of 2 Timothy, we do learn that there will come a day when people will seek out teachers/ministers who do not teach the Word of GOD or the Gospel of Jesus Christ as GOD has spoken it and given the Truth to us. Instead, these ministers will teach a different kind of doctrine that is pleasing to the world of man, but is not pleasing to GOD.

These false teachers do teach man’s corrupted traditions of worship rather than teaching the grace and faith and the love of GOD through his only begotten Son Jesus Christ and these false teachers are careful avoiding any mention of man’s sinful nature and the need of a Savior in Jesus Christ.

Some of these false teachers teach others to pray to other saints, to angels or to Mary the mother of Jesus Christ and not understanding that Mary the mother of Jesus Christ was a sinner herself and that it was the Lord Jesus Christ that would deliver his own mother Mary from sin and it was Jesus himself that saved Mary his own mother from Hell and brought her into eternal life. These false teachers teach their assemblies to come to the leaders/priests of the church assemblies and confess their sins to them and they will mediate on their behalf to GOD, but this is not what the Truth of the Word of GOD teaches us to do. For the Lord Jesus Christ himself is all that any of us need; it is through the Lord Jesus Christ we have a mediator between us and our Heavenly Father, and GOD did not commission any other person or persons under Heaven, on the earth, under the earth or in heavenly places to do the mediating in place of His only begotten Son Jesus Christ.

This is the very reason why everyone should want to read the Holy Bible (I read the King James Version) and know the Truth, the Word of GOD for their own self. To keep themselves from being deceived by another doctrine that is not from GOD, but of the traditions of men which cannot save the soul. The traditions of men are for show and not edifying to the soul.

Galatians 1

1 “Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)

2 And all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia:

3 Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,

4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:

5 To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.

12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

13 For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews’ religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:

14 And profited in the Jews’ religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.

15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace,

16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:

17 Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.

18 Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days.

19 But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord’s brother.

20 Now the things which I write unto you, behold, before God, I lie not.

21 Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia;

22 And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judaea which were in Christ:

23 But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed.

24 And they glorified God in me.”

In the Apostle Paul’s days, the written record of the Word of GOD had not been published yet for all to read and study wherever the members of the church were at, as we have today. The apostles of Jesus Christ spread out across the lands and visited cities to preach, teach and share the Good News, the Gospel of Jesus Christ verbally to all who would stop and listen. The original apostles of Jesus Christ were eyewitnesses to the ministry, the death on the Cross of Jesus Christ, the burial and the risen Lord Jesus Christ from the dead, and they carried a message of hope, love, compassion, mercy, grace, salvation and eternal life in Christ wherever they traveled and taught.

Galatians 5:3-10

3 “For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.

4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

7 Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?

8 This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you.

9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.

10 I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.”

All but one of the apostles of the Lord Jesus Christ was martyred because of the message that they preached and taught to the people of the world. The Apostle John was the only of the apostles that was spared a martyrs death for defending the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but the Apostle John had not been spared his share of persecution at the hands of both the Jewish religious leaders or at the hands of the Romans. The Apostle John had been exiled to the isle of Patmos for a few years for preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ and suffered abuse at the hands of the heathens during his period of exile before being pardoned by new Roman leadership.

Revelation 1:9 (records why the apostle John had been exiled)

9 “I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.”

These early ministers of the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ was not treated by the world as rock stars, paid a lot of money for book deals or treated to luxury accommodations in the cities and towns which they had traveled as many world famous preachers do today. The early churches were not multimillion dollar mega complexes with live bands performing, coffee shops, bookstores and ATM machines lining the halls. No, this is not new just by today’s standards either, but it has become an accepted norm by many, many people wanting to be entertained and catered to, instead of wanting to actually assemble together and read from the Word of GOD as it is was spoken by GOD in the Word of GOD, so to learn GOD’S Will for us and to get to know GOD the Lord Jesus Christ on a personal level.

Remember, back in the time of Jesus during his earthly ministry, that Jesus entered into the temple and found that the people had gathered and made His house a place of merchandise instead of a house of prayer.

Matthew 21:12-14

12 “And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves,

13 And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.

14 And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them.”

Mark 11:15-18

15 “And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves;

16 And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple.

17 And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.

18 And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine.”

Luke 19:43-48

43 “For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,

44 And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

45 And he went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought;

46 Saying unto them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of thieves.

47 And he taught daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him,

48 And could not find what they might do: for all the people were very attentive to hear him.”

In The Book of Galatians, the apostle Paul being lead by the Holy Spirit teaches the church to be aware of those who enter in among us, who are not actually one of us, but would pervert the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the word of GOD for personal gain and not to the glory of GOD. Personal gain doesn’t need to be for money or material gain, but it also can include a motivation to lead people away from the Truth and into bondage of sin and corruption.

The only way to avoid being deceived is by knowing for our selves what the Word of GOD teaches and the way to go about doing this is to take the time to read the whole truth, all of the Word of GOD from the beginning “The Book of Genesis” to the end “The Book of Revelation”, so that we know what the Word of GOD teaches and what the Word of GOD does not teach. The only way to avoid being deceived by false teachers who teach false doctrine is to know the Truth for our selves by the Word of GOD and trusting in the Holy Spirit to help us understand the things that GOD is teaching us through his Word.

The Book of Galatians we are edified in Truth by the Word of GOD through Faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD. By grace GOD sent us our faith and our salvation by the Righteousness of His only begotten Son Jesus Christ, who is also our hope of Righteousness and our Redeemer unto eternal life.

Ephesians 2:8-10

8 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”

Before ending this message for the edifying of the Church which are all members of the one body of Jesus Christ and Christ being the Head of the Body and the Church, please remember this:

1 Thessalonians 2:13

13 “For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.”

Ephesians 4:11-32

11 “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

17 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,

18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:

19 Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

20 But ye have not so learned Christ;

21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:

22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.

26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

27 Neither give place to the devil.

28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”

One more thing that we who have put our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone for our individual salvation by the grace of GOD; is that we need to also wear the Armor of GOD to protect us from the wiles of the devil and those that would deceive us if it were possible.

Ephesians 6:10-20

10 “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.”

John 3:14-17

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

I pray that GOD will bless all who have taken the time to read the Word of GOD to be lead by the Holy Spirit to all spiritual understanding and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, so not to be deceived by false doctrines of this present evil world. Amen.
